Upcoming Third cross-border fair of old crafts Bulgaria-Serbia

Dear friends and colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to invite you to the upcoming Third cross-border fair of old crafts Bulgaria-Serbia. Host of the Fair again will be City Municipality Pantelej, Nis. The fair will be held on 14^th and 15^th of May 2016 on the central square in the city of Nis, which will make it easy to visitfor many people – citizens of Nis and tourists. To the event are invited to participate crafstmennot only from the cross-border region of Bulgaria and Serbia but from other regions of the two countries as well.

We expect you at the town square in Nis on 14^thand 15^th of May 2016 and we hope the fair to bring a lot of pleasant emotions and surprises. You will have the opportunity to meet with craftsmen participating from the pilot edition, held in 2014 under the project “Crafts revival”, funded by the EU Programme IPA CBC Bulgaria-Serbia. We hope you can spend a memorable weekend with us!

Second cross-border fair of old crafts Bulgaria-Serbia

Dear friends,

We are pleased to announce the successful implementation of the Second cross-border fair of old crafts Bulgaria-Serbia. Host of the fair was again City Municipality Pantelej, Nis. It took place on 9 and 10 May 2015 in the House of old crafts in Nis. The event once again presented the products of the masters of old crafts on both sides of the border. Among the participants who took part were 20 representatives of the old crafts art from Bulgaria (Sofia, Pernik, Radomir, Kyustendil), and a large number of their colleagues from Serbia (Nis, Zajecar, Aleksinac, Backa Palanka, Sombor).

It is noteworthy that the fair, whose first edition was held in 2014 under the project “Crafts revival”, funded by the EU Programme IPA CBC Bulgaria-Serbia, is already gaining popularity and its interest in itwas shown by masters of old crafts from other regions of Bulgaria and Serbia, which speaks to the usefulness and attractiveness of the idea.

First Cross Border Fair of Old Crafts – The event took place on 7th and 8th of April 2014 in the courtyard of the “House of old crafts” in the city of Nis, Serbia. Participants at the Fair were 20 craftsman from Bulgaria (from Kyustendil, Pernik and Sofia provinces) and 20 craftsman from Serbia (from Nis province).

First Bulgaria-Serbia cross-border crafts fair

First Bulgaria-Serbia cross-border crafts fair is open on 8 April 2014 in the House of Old Crafts in Nis, Serbia. The event is presenting products of masters of old crafts from both sides of the border. All hand-made goods will be exposed to the visitors in the court yard of the House of Old Crafts in the City Municipality of Pantelej. The exhibits can be seen on 7 April in the afternoon and on 8 April from 10 to 17.

The Fair is organized under the project CRAFTS REVIVAL within the Bulgaria-Serbia IPA pprogramme funded by EU. Project partners are Balkan Development Team (BDT)-Nis, Foundation Korenyak-Sofia and City Municipality of Pantelej-Nis.

Roundtable

Roundtable to discuss the Assessment report about the situation of the craft sector in Kyustendil and Pernik (Bulgaria) and Nis (Serbia).
Representatives of the municipality of Pantalei, city of Nis, Municipality of Kyustendil, Fellowship of Masters, local artisans and craftsmen from Serbia took active participation in the discussions.
The project partners are grateful for the assistance and support of the local authorities among whom were the “Culture” department, Municipality of Kyustendil, etc..

Opening conference, held on July 19th 2013 in city of Nis, Serbia. The Opening conference is realized according to project 2007CB16IPO006-2011-2-057 “Creating of preconditions for revival of traditional crafts in the cross-border region”.
The conference presented a brief summary of project activities, as well as, ideas, objectives and results it targets to achieve. Through the conference we aim to promote this project and to involve more stakeholders into the successful project implementation.
At the conference took active participation several representatives of the Fellowship of Masters, Chamber of Crafts, associations and institutions working in the field of development of crafts, craftsman and more from the town of Pernik, town of Kyustendil, city of Sofia and city of Nis.
